The administration of deceased estates is not for the faint-hearted. In some cases, it may become necessary for an executor or executrix of an estate to apply for a warrant via section 26(3) read with section 102 of the Administration of estate Act 66 of 1965 for the search and seizure of all assets registered in the name of the deceased as of the date of his or her death.
